KALPESHSWAR – RUDRANATH -TUNGNATH TREKKING EXPEDITION,UTTARAKHAND

(May 22, 2022 to Jun 02, 2022)

It covers three of the Panch Kedars namely Kalpeshwar, Rudranath and Tungnath. It starts from beautiful Urgam valley. It’s a pleasant trek and has been made easy by short distances each day so that people of all ages with normal fitness can participate in this event. It is beautiful, it’s of religious importance, it’s has beautiful views of Himalayans peaks on a clear day.

Sun, 22 May Delhi to Haridwar/Rishikesh by Night AC bus (6 -7hours) 200/225 kms
Mon, 23 May Haridwar/Rishikesh to Devgram (6500 ft) by bus/jeeps (10 hrs). Homestay with villagers 280 kms
Tue, 24 May In the morning visit to Kalpeshwar and other temples of Urgam valley. After breakfast, Urgam to Kalpeshwar to Jangeda Mahadev near Kalgot (8000 ft) Trek -4-5 hours. It’s height gain upto Kalgot pass, thereafter descend and gradual walk to the camp site. 2 km/6 kms
Wed, 25 May Trek to Bainsakharak (9000 ft). One passes through Dumak village, then descend to twin rivers of Maina gad and Rudra ganga, thereafter, climb to the camp. 5-6 hrs. 8 kms
Thu, 26 May Trek to Panar(11000 ft) – 5-6 hrs. It’s ascend to Tolital Lake, then further ascend amidst dense forest to reach Panar (camping in permissible site) 7 kms
Fri, 27 May Trek to Rudranath (12,500’) – 3-4 hrs. Pleasant trek. Enjoy evening Arti at the temple. 7 kms
Sat, 28 May Trek to Hansu Kharak via Pitradhar (13,300’) – 5-6 hrs. It’s ascend till pitradhar then descend to Hansu Kharak. 6 kms
Sun, 29 May Trek to Anusuya Devi(6500’) – 4-5 hrs. It’s steep descend till Anusuya Ganga, then gradual descend till Anusuya Devi temple. 7 kms
Mon, 30 May Trek to Mandal (5000’) – 3 hrs. transfer to Chopta jeeps. Trek to Tungnath (3-1/2 kms). Overnight stay in the guest house. 6 km and 4 km trek/26 kms motorable
Tue, 31 May Tungnath to Chandrashila – 1kms trek, then descend to Chopta 4-1/2 kms. Transfer to Gopeshwar or Ukhimath by jeeps 6 kms trek/40 kms drive
Wed, 01 Jun Gopeshwar/Ukhimath to Rishikesh by bus – 8 hrs. Rishikesh to Delhi by bus 250 kms
Thu, 02 Jun Arrival in Delhi 225 kms

  • The participation is open to the members of “SOCIETY FOR TREKKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION”. To learn more about how to become a member of our society, please click here.
  • Fee is payable by cash/cheque/DD in favour of “SOCIETY FOR TREKKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION” payable at New Delhi. Rs.250/- will be charged extra for dishonoured cheque and such members will have to pay fee by cash or DD only.
  • The members can also deposit fee in our Saving Bank A/c No. 012900 0100526284 with Punjab National Bank, Minto Road Branch, New Delhi and send us the scan/photo copy of deposit slip.
  • The desirous participants shall apply in prescribed participation form along with necessary risk certificate/medical certificate.
  • Please note that dates, schedule, duration, fee of any programme is subject to change without any notice.
  • The Management Committee reserves the right to reject any application for Membership/Participation without assigning any reasons thereof.
